Attending the BMW Suppliers Xchange Conference on May 13th was an incredibly valuable experience for our team from the Strategic Innovation Certificate (SIC) graduate program at the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business (DMSB). The event offered a dynamic, relationship-driven environment where we were able to immerse ourselves in the evolving landscape of the automotive industry and its supply chain partners.

In addition to learning from industry leaders, we were proud to represent DMSB and share more about the SIC and touch upon other DMSB graduate programs. It was especially rewarding to connect with professionals who showed genuine interest in strengthening their innovation capabilities through the certificate.

We also gained valuable insights from speakers such as Dr. Berkley Baker of Georgia State University on innovation, and Phillip Baltazar on the hidden costs of misalignment in the workplace.

The highlight of the conference was an inspiring talk from Coach Ken Carter, who emphasized the importance of accountability, integrity, teamwork, and leadership. Meeting Coach Carter and capturing the moment with a photo was the perfect way to cap off an already impactful experience.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and share what we are doing here at Darla Moore.
