Sylvia Sloan Black is a highly regarded executive coach and former faculty member at the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University where she taught strategic management, international business, and strategic innovation in the undergraduate and MBA programs. Additionally, she taught strategic management for the United States Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program. Sylvia has published numerous articles in journals such as the Journal of High Technology Management, Journal of Management, International Journal of Learning and Change, and Managerial and Decision Economics among others. Her professional affiliations include the Academy of Management, Academy of International Business, National Black MBA Association, and the Honor Societies of Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi. Sylvia earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Columbia University and MBA from the University of Kansas.
