SmartState Center of Innovation + Commercialization
Kathy Rollins serves as the Assistant Director for SC Innovates® and the SmartState® Center of Innovation + Commercialization. She joined the University of South Carolina (USC) Darla Moore School of Business (DMSB) in 2016 and is also the Associate Director of Recruiting for the PMBA Program. Kathy works with Dr. Cardinal on special projects, proposals, events, and activities. She is responsible for ensuring compliance with SmartState Program policies, rules, and regulations; managing relationships and facilitating communication with external professional consultants and their respective projects; and marketing and promoting the Center and its activities. Kathy serves as focal point to connect SmartState Chairs and Centers with potential partners and each other and also facilitates communication between Director, Center Manager, and Center stakeholders. She graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with a degree in Communications with an emphasis in Marketing and went on to earn her MBA in 2016.
